Artificial Friend

from Vladimir The Platypus by Mouth Dakota

/

about

This is a very old song now which was also recorded by my friend from the Two Dark Triangles project that I mentioned on the info about 'Canaries In A Coalmine (Tropico)'. It was probably recorded on the same machine as Tropico. I remember, before recording that day, I thought that I had good tempo, but I struggled for so long on it...it must have taken a couple hours to do the guitar part. The lyrics are about a battery operated toy robot from the 80's that I had as a kid. The backup track was done in Fruity Loops.

lyrics

I am just an ordinary man
You are just an artificial friend
Crawling up my arm and leg again
Draining all my batteries and then
Keep your fingers tight around my neck
